Jodhpur, India

Known as the “Blue City” in the Thar desert. We took the local train from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur.
Travel time about 5 hours.

I had an unforgettable experience celebrating Halika Dahan, where people gather to perform religious rituals in front of the bonfire the eve before the festive of Holi - a major holiday here in India, a free-for-all festival of colours, where people smear each other with colours and drench each other. Water guns and water-filled balloons are also used to play and colour each other.

Happy Holi

Holi festival signifies the arrival of spring, the end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships.
